The Waltham Fire Department has a force of 124 Firefighters, 33 Lieutenants, 10 Captains and
6 Deputy Chiefs (4 Suppression - 1 Fire Prevention - Training) whom are commanded by Chief Richard Cardillo. 7 engines, 2 ladders,
and 1 heavy rescue respond from 6 fire stations and average 12,900 runs
annually. Waltham also quarters the METROFIRE Command Post, which is
available to any METROFIRE department. Mutual aid availablilty is 2 engines
and 1 ladder.
