The Cambridge Fire Department has a force of 274 uniformed
Firefighters and 5 Civilians whom are commanded by Chief Gerald Reardon. 8
engines, 4 ladders, and 2 BLS rescue/ambulance respond from 8 fire stations
and average over 11,600 runs annually. Cambridge also operates a Hazardous
Materials/Special Operations unit as well as a Special Services Heavy Rescue.
Mutual aid availablilty is 3 engine and 1 ladder.
