The Braintree Fire Department has a force of 61 Firefighters
and 28 Officers whom are commanded by Chief Kenneth McHugh . 4 engines, 2
ladders, and 1 light rescue respond from 3 fire stations and average over
4,000 runs annually. The Braintree Fire Department also operates a heavy
rescue that is specially outfitted with equipment for bus and railway
accidents and is available to any METROFIRE, Norfolk County, or Plymouth
County fire department. Mutual aid availablilty is either 1 engine or 1
ladder.
