Daily Log Book Entries

FOR USE BY CONTROL CENTER OPERATORS:

The purpose of the METROFIRE Daily Log is to keep information on the Metrofire operation, allow for statistical compilation of activity, and aid in the Control Center operations. It is not intended to provide for detailed accounting of apparatus usage or control, nor is it to replace detailed activity recording and reporting required by local community Fire Alarm offices on their activity and movement of their apparatus.

METROFIRE procedures require the reporting of all fires - working fires thru greater alarms - the dispatch of apparatus from one community to another, and any requests for special apparatus, to the Control Center. The log books should reflect this information as a minimum.

Specifically;

Box no. and time of working fires and greater alarms

Apparatus no. and time of dispatch from one community to another

Requests and actions on Special apparatus calls (including the foam units, the radio footlocker, and the Haz Mat Response Team)

Requests for Metrofire alarms and the dispatches made

Any special requests for assistance (special calls or fill-in assignments, etc.)

Any other information may be recorded that will aid the operators in their duties. Additional sheets may be used as required.

The available columns and mobile test columns are provide only as a check list aid to the operators.
